Foster Park, Ventura
Foster Park is currently closed due to damage sustained during the January storm. A reopening date has not been confirmed and updates will be posted on the Home Page of our website.
A series of beautiful green hill ranges serve as the backdrop for this picturesque park. The Ventura River flows through the park, which lends to the beautiful landscape of lush green vegetation that thrives among the adult shade trees. There is a separate Day Use area and two different campgrounds to choose from, Residence Campground and Red Mountain Campground. The Ojai Valley Trail (equestrian, bike, and walking) runs through the park.
Peak Season Park Use – Please note for the safety of park users, the Ventura County Parks Department may close down a park due to capacity at anytime. Weekends are a very popular time at County Parks and most weekends during peak season, Foster Park and Steckel Park close to capacity. To ensure that you can park inside the park, please arrive early with your day use fee ready and follow all posted parking signs within the park.
Location: 438 Casitas Vista Road, Ventura. From Highway 33, exit Casitas Vista/Santa Ana Road.
