Public Administrator (PA) steps in to administer an estate when someone passes away without a will in place, and there is no person or other higher authority available to administer. The Public Administrator also coordinates Ventura County’s Representative Payee Program. This is a voluntary program that provides bill-paying support to clients of Ventura County Behavioral Health who receive benefits from Social Security. The Public Administrator manages the client’s income and expenses with oversight from Behavioral Health case management.
Public Administrator Cases
Public Administrator cases remain active from the time that a referral is received until the time that either next of kin or other representatives have been identified, or until all matters of the estate have been resolved.
