IHSS Data
In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) is a Medi-Cal program and is funded by federal, state, and county dollars. IHSS supports low-income seniors and people with disabilities to remain in their own homes instead of moving to residential care facilities.

Assistance is available to qualified applicants to pay for support services, including light domestic help, non-medical personal care, and accompaniment to and from medical appointments.
The types of authorized services and the number of hours for each service will be determined by a social worker during a home visit. IHSS applicants must also submit a completed Health Care Certification within 45 days, indicating a need for IHSS to be eligible for services.
