Mental Health First Aid Training for Teens (English and Spanish)

This Aug. and Sept. 2024, Planned Parenthood is offering week-long trainings for youth 14-18 to learn to respond to signs of mental health challenges in their friends and peers. Training is via Zoom and is geared for teens to learn how to understand the effect of school violence and bullying on teen mental health, how to talk about mental health and substance use with friends, and how to seek help of a trusted adult if a teen needs help. Training is provided at no cost by Planned Parenthood Mar Monte (PPMM) in partnership with The National Council of Mental Health & Wellbeing. Teen participant must complete 30 minutes of pre-work and attend all three zoom sessions within a week to receive a tMHFA Certificate. Get more details and register now.
