Ventura County Fatherhood Summit

The Ventura County Fatherhood Summit was a collaborative effort between Ventura County Department of Child Support Services, First 5 Ventura County, Hope & Comfort, and Rio School District.

The event took place on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 1:30 pm to 6 pm at Rio Del Valle School, located at 3100 N Rose Ave, Oxnard. The Fatherhood Summit was a day dedicated to helping fathers be the best they can be. This event offered a multitude of opportunities for fathers, including 21 engaging workshops (offered in English, Spanish, Mixteco), access to county resources, and valuable  employer information. Free childcare and dinner was provided to ensure all fathers can participate.

A huge thank you to all the fathers, organizations, speakers, volunteers, and sponsors (Hope & Comfort, Rio School District, and County Schools Federal Credit Union) who made the first Fatherhood Summit possible. Thanks to everyone’s contributions, we were able to launch this historic event for fathers in our community. It was a wonderful afternoon of learning and growth for fathers and father figures. We look forward to bringing more father-focused events in the future!
