Tattoo Removal Clinic Program
Supervisor Long has been championing the expansion of the Tattoo Removal Program since the clinics were closed in 2020 due to COVID. Both machines at the old programs in Santa Paula and Oxnard were no longer functioning or usable.
At the July 26, 2022 meeting the Board of Supervisors (BOS) moved unanimously “Approve the Resurrection and Expansion of a Tattoo Removal Program”. Since that time, new machines have been purchased for detention facilities at the Todd Road Jail and Juvenile Facilities.
This program focuses on offering free tattoo removal services for Ventura County residents. It is specifically designed for individuals with tattoos on the face, hands, or arms that are associated with gang activity, human trafficking, or that hinder employment and negatively impact personal well-being. Services are provided by appointment only, with priority given to referrals from our partnering agencies, including Probation, the District Attorney, Public Defender, HSA, and Ventura Training Center. There are currently two locations.

The Simi Valley location has clinics twice a month on Thursday usually between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. You can contact them directly for more information and to make an appointment.

Clinics are scheduled at least once a month on Friday afternoons 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm and Saturday mornings 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Below are the current dates, but they are filling fast. You will need to arrive 1 hour before your appointment.
