About

The Casa Conejo Municipal Advisory Council holds public meetings once a month, on Thursday evenings, at Walnut Elementary School, and serves in an advisory capacity to inform Supervisor Gorell on matters of public safety, public works, public health, planning, and matters of public interest to the community.

MAC Members

Debbie Hanna - MAC Chair

Debra has lived in Casa Conejo since 1989, where she raised her family. She has been working as the Planning Specialist in the Planning and Facilities Department since 1999. She currently serves on the Casa Conejo Municipal Advisory Council.

Brendon Garcia - Vice Chair

Brendon is a proud resident of the same hometown of Newbury Park where he was raised. His two children Ollie and Finley attend Newbury Park High School and beautiful wife, Michelle, works in CVUSD. Professionally Brendon is a 20+ mortgage broker and small business owner and has spent many years working to improve the community through service with Rotary International and various other service organizations.

Scott Horn - Member

Scott Horn is a 30 plus year resident of Casa Conejo, a Newbury Park High School alumni, and holds a BA and a MA from CSU Northridge. He is a local business owner, founding member of “Lizards of Wizdom”, and a Dodger season ticket holder for over 20 years.

Rob Alvidrez - Member

Rob is a lifelong Conejo Valley resident. He and his wife Dee I have 3 children. He has been working as a realtor for over 35 years and is active in his church and his community and looks forward to serving on the Casa Conejo MAC.

David Ayers - Member

David has lived in Casa Conejo since 1975. He is a former elementary teacher with the Conejo Valley Unified School District. His goal for being on the Casa Conejo MAC is to ask questions and find solutions for issues important to the residents of Casa Conejo.

Richard Gaz - Alternate

Richard is a licensed Civil Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Engineering and Master of Electrical Engineering degrees from Cal State LA. He had a career in the aerospace industry for 15 years and worked on the Apollo 11 reentry capsule. He is an Army Veteran and was 30-year employee of the City of Thousand Oaks as a combination Building Inspector/Associate Engineer Plan checker and Associate Civil Engineer. Richard and Anna have been married and lived in the Casa Conejo for 61 years. He is the father of two, enjoys his children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter. His hobbies are gardening, basketball, photography and taking naps.
