Land Use Planning - FAQS
The Ventura County Agricultural Commissioner provides administrative support to the county Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee. The Agricultural Commissioner no longer has a Land Use Planner on staff. The office still provides environmental evaluations related to land use projects on or in the vicinity of agricultural land. If you are planning a project in the unincorporated area of the county that is adjacent to agriculture please consult the website for the County Planning Division at
where you will find information on the permitting process and other Land Use Planning Resources. You may also wish to consult the Ventura County Non-Coastal Zoning Ordinance for further information.
If you wish to make a presentation to the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee or have general questions about this program please contact Chief Deputy Agricultural Commissioner Korinne Bell at 805-933-2926 or Korinne.Bell@ventura.org.
