Commercial and Industrial PermitsThe County of Ventura zoning map includes designated commercial and industrial areas in the unincorporated areas of the County. The purpose of the commercial zone is to provide areas for a wide range of commercial retail and business uses, including stores, shops and offices supplying commodities or performing services for the surrounding community. The purpose of the industrial zone is to provide suitable areas of development for a broad range of general manufacturing, processing and fabrication activities, while providing appropriate safeguards for adjoining industrial sites, nearby nonindustrial properties and the surrounding community. If your project includes any of the above mentioned uses, please view the Commercial and Industrial application packet below. To make the process easier, the application can be electronically filled out, saved and then e-mailed directly to the Discretionary Permit Coordinator, Winston Wright, at winston.wright@ventura.org. To guarantee a smooth process, thoroughly review your application prior to your project submittal and ensure all of the required information submitted is complete from the start. |
