INLAND PARKS
CAMP COMFORT OJAI
The San Antonio Creek flows through this beautiful, lush park. There an an ample number of mature shade trees throughout. The campground is ideal for group camping and the spacious, new renovated clubhouse is perfect for parties, reunions, company picnics, weddings, etc. Camp Comfort is approximately 1 mile from downtown Ojai.
DENNISON PARK, OJAI
This serene, quiet park offers outstanding views of the Ojai Valley. With mature shade trees throughout, large shrubs and numerous campsites located off the main road, you get a feeling of total seclusion in this rustic park, similar to being “out in the woods.” There are covered family/group barbecue areas near the entrance of the park available by reservation only.
FOSTER PARK, VENTURA
A series of beautiful green hill ranges serve as the backdrop for this picturesque park. The Ventura River flows through the park, which lends to the beautiful landscape of lush green vegetation that thrives among the adult shade trees. There is a separate Day Use area and two different campgrounds to choose from, Residence Campground and Red Mountain Campground. The Ojai Valley Trail (equestrian, bike, and walking) runs through the park.
HAPPY CAMP REGIONAL PARK, MOORPARK
Happy Camp Canyon Regional Park offers visitors 12.5 miles of trails in a 3,000 acre wilderness area frequented by hikers, equestrian riders, and mountain bikers. The open grasslands and deep forests are abundant with wildflowers and wildlife including rabbits, bobcats and golden eagles. The park is underlain by complex geology ranging from deep water shale outcroppings to oyster and clam rich shale and sandstones. This is a passive, natural open space park with no support facilities. Rustic Canyon Golf Course is located at the entrance of the park.
KENNEY GROVE PARK
OAK PARK, SIMI VALLEY
Mature Oak trees enhance this rustic 100.5 acre open space park that is surrounded by gentle, rolling hills and an abundance of coastal sage scrub brush. This natural environment supports a multitude of California native wildlife species, such as a raptors, roadrunners, sagebrush lizards, and alligator lizards. The park is ideal for group RV camping in a secluded setting.
SANTA ROSA VALLEY PARK, CAMARILLO
This regional park offers 50 acres of natural open space that is suitable for horse back riding, wilderness exploring, hiking, or other environmentally friendly activity. Visitors can access a number of local trails from this park. Two equestrian riding areas are available, with a training area.
SATICOY PARK, SATICOY
This neighborhood park offers 3.3 acres of developed parkland, complete with softball diamond, basketball court, playground, and plenty of open grass areas and mature shade trees. The Boys & Girls Club of Ventura County holds after school programs for children at the park.
SOULE PARK, OJAI
Nestled amongst the majestic Topa Topa mountain range, this charming 223 acre park offers open grasslands with mature shade trees throughout. The quiet and serene setting is perfect for daytime group events with large covered picnic areas and a variety of activities available. A new Dog Park is situated on 1 acre of land within Soule Park that offers separate fenced areas for large and small dogs. The park is located in the heart of the Ojai Valley right next to the Soule Park Golf Course.
STECKEL PARK, SANTA PAULA
Santa Paula Creek flows through this picturesque park that is surrounded by rolling hills, rugged mountain peaks, citrus groves and avocado groves. The natural beauty of the terrain coupled with large mature shade trees make this a popular location for picnics, creek side camping, hiking, biking, or wilderness exploring. Bird watchers enjoy woodpeckers, raptors, warblers, kingleys, and vireos. A large aviary in the park houses a variety of common birds and peafowl. The private campground north of Santa Paula Creek is leased to the Ventura Ranch KOA. Call 805-654-3951 for camping and Group Use Reservations at Steckel Park.
TAPO CANYON, SIMI VALLEY
Tapo Canyon Regional Park is located in the midst of the rolling hills and canyons of the Santa Susana Mountains north of Simi Valley. Hikers, equestrian riders, and mountain bikers enjoy this rugged and rural park, which features picnic areas, an equestrian arena and an RV campground with 16 full hook ups.
TOLAND PARK, SANTA PAULA
Toland Regional Park consists of 212.7 acres of undeveloped, rural land that is gently sloped and densely populated with coastal sage scrub brush. The park may be used for hiking or wilderness exploring. This is a passive, natural open space park with restrooms, picnic tables and BBQ’s. Group youth tent camping is allowed with reservations.
WARRING PARK, PIRU
This neighborhood park offers 3.9 acres of developed park land, complete with softball diamond, basketball court, playground, horseshoe pits and grass areas.
