  • County of Ventura Community Development
    Community Development staff is dedicated to serving the diverse needs of Ventura County residents, primarily those with lower incomes, to meet the unmet needs for affordable and supportive housing, community development programs, social service programs and economic development opportunities. We achieve this through a variety of projects and programs.

Housing Authorities & Housing Organizations

  • 2-1-1 Information & Referrals
    Connects over 20,000 Ventura County callers each year with information about services available to them, including: basic needs resources (i.e. food, clothing, and shelter), physical and mental health resources, domestic violence services, substance abuse services, employment support, rent and utility assistance, senior services, services for persons with disabilities, support for children, youth and families, legal assistance and much more.
  • House Farmworkers!
    House Farm Workers! is an advocacy and education program run by the Farm Worker Housing Task Force, which is a subcommittee of the Ventura County Ag Futures Alliance.
  • Housing Rights Center
    The Housing Rights Center supports and promotes fair housing through education, advocacy and litigation, to ensure that all persons have the opportunity to secure the housing they desire and can afford, without discrimination.
  • Ventura County Housing Trust Fund
    The Ventura County Housing Trust Fund provides short-term loans to organizations for the development and/or preservation of housing for low-income persons.
